Apple tarte tatin

What do you think of first when someone says french cusine? Baguettes and cheeses, ratatouille and amazing wine, long dinner with family and friends and incredible desserts...

For me, it's ELEGANCE. It's all about simple food made to look gorgeous (Okay, not so simple). Don't all french people look amazing after all? Even though I have a thing for italian cusine too. One of my most favourite chef of all time is Raymond Blanc. A true Frenchman whose masterpieces absolutely amaze me. And just like any other fan I did try to recreate his recipes. Tarte tatin is one of the examples of french simplicity. But despite only two main ingredients, this tarte is not just another dessert but a real tribute to apples.

It has been something I wanted for quite a long time and didn't quite get the confidence to do it. But if there is something that always keeps your mind busy, then it's worth it, right? I love sharing and writing so here I am. Let's hit the road together and enjoy it!
